Topic 01
What is CAQH ProView
CAQH ProView (formerly the Universal Provider Datasource) is a free, online credentialing database maintained by the Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare. It serves as a centralized repository where healthcare providers enter and maintain their professional, practice, and demographic information. Over 1.4 million providers use CAQH ProView, and more than 900 health plans, hospitals, and other organizations access it to streamline credentialing and enrollment — eliminating the need to complete separate applications for each payer.
Topic 02
CAQH Attestation
CAQH requires providers to re-attest their profile data every 120 days (quarterly) to confirm that all information — including licenses, DEA certifications, malpractice insurance, practice locations, hospital affiliations, and specialty details — remains accurate and up to date. During attestation, providers must review every section of their profile, upload any new or renewed documents, and electronically sign the attestation. We manage the entire attestation cycle on your behalf, ensuring no deadline is missed and all data is verified for accuracy before submission.
Topic 03
CAQH Maintenance
Beyond quarterly attestations, your CAQH profile requires ongoing maintenance whenever there are changes to your practice — such as a new office location, updated malpractice coverage, a renewed state license, a change in tax ID or NPI group assignment, or the addition of a new provider to your group. We proactively monitor expiration dates for all documents in your profile, upload renewals before they lapse, and update practice information as it changes so that your credentialing status remains uninterrupted with all participating payers.
Topic 04
Importance of Timely CAQH Attestation
When a CAQH profile falls out of attestation, health plans may be unable to complete credentialing or re-credentialing, which can result in delayed payer enrollment, claim denials, or even termination from insurance networks. An expired attestation can take weeks to resolve and may cause a gap during which the provider cannot bill certain payers — directly impacting revenue. Timely attestation also ensures that payers always have your most current information, reducing the risk of claim rejections due to outdated provider data such as a lapsed license or incorrect address.
